Fox Island's Pack 27 is recruiting boys AND GIRLS from Kindergartners through 5th grade to the Cub Scouting program for boys and girls who live on Fox Island and Gig Harbor.

Join us at our next meeting and find out what Cub Scouts do!

Meetings are held twice a month, on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month at the Nichols Community Center on Fox Island.

Girls and Boys: Join Fox Island Scouts - Ages 11 - 17

Boys and Girls ages 11 - 17: Are you interested in Extreme, High Adventure Sports such as camping, backpacking, canoeing, climbing & mountain biking? 
Are you interested in learning outdoor survival skills, leadership skills and serving your community?
If so, Troop 27 Scouting America is the place to be!

FICRA sponsors a high-adventure youth organization on Fox Island, that does all this and more.

Scouting America BSA Troop 27, is for boys AND girls between the ages of 11 and 17. If you want to have fun in the outdoors, come and check it out! Troop 27 meets on the 2nd & 4th Monday of the month, 6:30 PM at the Nichols Center.

Fox Island Yacht Club Annual Father's Day Breakfast

Be sure to come to the Fox Island Yacht Club for the Annual Father's Day Community Breakfast.  Breakfast will be served from 8:00 - 11:00 am on that day.  Scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, pancakes, juice, and coffee.

Our mission is to provide annually a quality garden tour to promote literacy for children and adults on the Gig Harbor and Key Peninsula.

The Gig Harbor Garden Tour is a self guided tour of 6 or 7 gardens in the Greater Gig Harbor Area. Each garden has a unique story to tell that reflects the gardener's heart and style. The variety, artistry, design. and color will inspire you.

Ticket Sales

Tickets are $25 each ($20 for groups of 10 or more)

Tickets go on sale at all locations in late May.  Tickets sold online will be mailed when they have been printed in late May.

HUGE Book Sale at the Fox Island Museum

The Fox Island Historical Society Museum is once again having the Summer Book Sale on Fair day 10:00am to 4:00pm. We've had lots of new books donated so you are encouraged to stop by and browse the racks. We also have DVDs, CDs and VHS movies for bargain prices.

Browse our shelves full of mystery, romance, adventure and do-it-yourself books. And as usual, we have a great assortment of cookbooks and books for children of all ages. Our prices are still the lowest you'll find anywhere!

We thank everyone for their generous donations of gently used books to make our offerings so varied and bountiful.

The Fox Island Flower Show

Saturday, August 8, 2026

The Fox Island Flower Show will again be part of the ever-popular FICRA Fair at the Nichols Center. All area residents are invited to bring their special flowers and vegetables to this judged competition. This is a fun and rewarding opportunity for all local residents to share their gardening skills. Ribbons will be awarded to the winners in the following categories: single stem flower, bouquet/floral arrangements, container plants and vegetable/fruit displays. All entries must be homegrown.

A separate children's division provides an opportunity for youngsters to share in the fun of gardening. Ribbons will be awarded to children in each of the four categories and each child will receive a participation ribbon. Don't miss this opportunity to share some gardening fun with your children and grandchildren.

Fox Island Annual Island-Wide Garage Sale

The Annual Fox Island Island-Wide Garage Sale features dozens of homes with thousands of treasures for sale. Sign up with the Fox Island Historical Society in August to have your sale listed on the map.

Maps to the sale locations will be available on the day of the sale.

There will be limited spaces available at the Museum. Sign-up will begin sometime in August and instructions and information will be published on our Facebook page and our website.

 

Santa's Visit at the Fox Island Museum

Santa & Mrs. Claus are coming to the Fox Island Historical Society Museum on Saturday, December 7th, from 1‑4 PM. Bring your Family and Friends to visit with them in the Museum Barn. Fox Island Annual Tree Lighting & Bonfire

Sunday, December 6, 2026

Join your Island neighbors and friends for a festive evening of fun! Sing carols around the bonfire provided by Cub Scout Pack 27 and Boy Scout Troop 27, meet our tree lighter, visit with Santa Claus, and listen to the annual Christmas concert. Bring a log for the fire!

Santa arrives at 6:00 PM.
